Ken has been playing lead accordion in Scotch Measure, Winnipeg's SCD band since 1982. He has been musical director of the band since 2001. Ken has been playing for SCD Workshops and Balls across western Canada for more than 20 years, usually in association with Ron Krug, and has been a staff musician at TAC Summer School on three occasions.
Between SCD engagements Ken plays in a fiddle-based old-time dance band and has been musician to the Village Green Morris Men for more than three decades. Ken enjoys singing and gets together regularly with fellow folk singers. He is also a stalwart member of his church choir.
Retirement from his day job has allowed him to dedicate more time and energy to his love of music and dance. He and his wife Jane dance with RSCDS Winnipeg Branch.
