Donna Kyle
July 17, 1943 to Septermber 12, 2010
Donna Kyle was an enthusiastic and active member of the Ceol Mor Scottish Country Dancers. She and her husband Murray joined our club as beginner dancers in 1994 and quickly became regular club dancers.
Donna volunteered in many capacities on the club executive over the years, including the positions of secretary/ treasurer and social convener. She and Murray hosted several year-end social events at their home. Donna was also instrumental to the organization of the kitchen at the Scottish Pavilion during Mosaic, Regina's annual cultural festival. She dedicated at least 3 days every year to ensure that the kitchen ran smoothly.
Donna and Murray often volunteered for dance outs, eager to spread the joy of dancing. Key to Donna's philosophy was instilling fun and sociability in dancing. Her smile was the first sign that the dance may not have turned out exactly as planned! Despite failing health, Donna continued to participate, first working our music machine, later as our number one cheerleader at dance outs and class. She was happy to get up on the dance floor for a familiar dance on occasion and enjoyed the music. The joy that Donna shared with others in her love of Scottish Country dancing continues and will not be forgotten.
